I believe that having death be a physical thing or entity can be comforting or scary depending on how you look at it. "MORTEM TEMPORIS" translates to "In the time of death", I made the characters with the underlying concept that death was something you could fight, or challenge, instead of it being a determined fact.
In this piece, I attempted to embody the concept of death in a physical body. To make it recognizable, I used pitch black for the bulk of the body, taking ~1/3 of the overall composition. Instead of a regular skull, the "Death" in my illustration is metal, or at least robotic. There is a hint of storytelling with the presence of what looks like a portal, a man with a sword and the phrase "Welcome back", implying that this is a depiction of a scene.

This project was made to parody the influence of digital advertising and the negative effects it has on our collective well-being. Each element strikes a different part of the online ecosystem such as flashing banners or targeted campaigns. The connected structure represents the online web and our dependence on it, thus the name: Dead Cells.
My goal is to invite a reflection on how to build a mindful digital future.

Summer and the demon is a project I hold dearly to my heart. It is a collection of characters that I have conceptualized and illustrated surrounded by an array of graphical elements. There are a variety of different techniques and styles used such as realistic lighting, cell shading, and typography to properly illustrate my skillset.
Briefly put, this project is a fusion of the world and narrative direction I built in my head. Finally creating it in a print format was my expression of the heart.

Score is an application that let's anyone host or join sport events with local players designed for anybody from casual players, to active sports enthusiasts, to event organizers and coaches. Score is a proposal for humans who want to compete, have fun and stay healthy in an era of instant gratification.
Score was designed following cult user experience and interface methodologies, putting the user front and center.

Study using a 2 point perspective.
The freehand nature of this study was a tool for me to familiarize myself with the geometry and space in my illustrations. The subject is composed of beautiful buildings I've had the chance to observe during a trip.

Distance to die is another project in which I try to give a physical form to the idea of death. I used techniques to make the gigantic skeleton/robot scale extremely large in the background, representing the importance or the inevitability of death.
Despite it being gigantic, I am still comforted by the idea that a physical form makes it more digestible. This is my twist on the very common trope of death being an entity.

The shattered hands connected by thin sticks of iron is the imagery I associate with the human mind. Everybody knows that we all have our fair share of problems, but I feel like nobody often reflects on it. I think we don't often see past the surface level in other people, and I find that very unfortunate.
This piece is my love letter to everyone that is holding on through tough times, you got this!

Dens is a very needed redesign of the current tool dentistry students + teachers use in university. The information architecture they currently have has tons of recursions, a confusing user flow, limited use on mobile and just isn't aesthetically pleasing.
Dens aims help students and teachers learn their main online tool easier and faster while keeping the high functionality and adding features such as study resources and direct messaging.

This piece is a study done on an amazing picture of Istanbul. I wanted to become a better artist, so I challenged myself by finding a visually complex piece of media and I set my sights on recreating it. We can actually see a lack of technique on the top left part of the painting, I however managed to persevere and improve following to the right side and then the background.
I was attracted by the complexity of the structures as well as the saturated colors neatly packed in a beautiful composition following the rule of thirds.

In this piece, I removed the head of the central character and replaced it with a falling star. The idea behind it was the fact that geniuses are born extremely rarely, represented with the occurrence of a falling star. The attire the character is wearing is reminiscent of a young school boy, the meaning is the following: the next genius physicist or mathematician is likely in school right now, not knowing that he will eventually change the world.

This piece is a composed of elements that belong to a sci-fi story. All the characters and graphical elements have the purpose of building the city that is "Eqo Osaka". Having the child with the sword the only thing that is colored creates visual direction making our eyes focus on the center. The city in the background was draw using 5 points of perspective (freehand), the lines are also all focusing on the center.
I wanted this project to be visually interesting, I wanted people to look at it and ask themselves questions while they figure out everything that's going on. Very opposite to my usual design philosophy.

Fruits of hell is a my attempt at pushing my creative spirit to new heights. It's composed of a 3 point perspective illustration surrounded by a large battery of graphic elements such as realistic stickers, tags and brand names. There's a mix of realism and cartoon like art styles, I made a fusion of both attempting to create a visually complex and interesting piece.
My attempts at graphic design in this one is largely pushed by the composition, I am dissatisfied with the final result.
